Oki Doki Pvt Limited becomes first in Sri Lanka to introduce Bio Fuel Trucks

21/07/2021

For the first time in Sri Lanka, Oki Doki (Pvt) Ltd a subsidiary of the Expo Lanka Holdings PLC recently introduced 100% Biofuel powered trucks. Oki Doki, one of Sri Lanka’s leading pioneers in high-tech driven transportation and efficient cutting edge logistics,  recognizes this to be a crucial juncture within the precision conscious industry whilst hoping to gain a competitive advantage to its clientele by adding value to every step of the supply chain.

The introduction of the utilization of 100% Bio Fuel by Oki Doki is also one of the firsts within the logistics industry itself and is a long-term sustainable solution for the growing need within it. Renewable energy unlike petroleum and coal, biofuel is any fuel that is derived from biomass— through either plant, algae material or animal waste or a combination of all such matter. The utilization of biofuel is a better alternative to gasoline and diesel as it provides reductions in the generation of greenhouse gas emissions compared to nonrenewable energy.

“Sustainability within the logistics sector has been a long overdue requirement as more and more markets, businesses and individuals continue to depend on the access and benefits provided by globalization. While consumerism continues to evolve, global logistics providers are continuously strained and are looking at solutions that now go beyond the consumers’ access to global goods and services but which will also cater to their needs for the planet and environment. We at Oki Doki are proud to take this necessary step in the right directions to align ourselves to the pulse of our consumers demand sustainable solutions,”
